β€œFor nearly a decade, I had the desire to create this small yet significant painting. It originated from a candid moment captured during a photo session, between the more posed shots we were crafting. The allure of those spontaneous, gestural instances that emerge in the gaps between planned images has always excited me as an artist. It is within those unguarded moments, where the tilt of the head and the interplay of light falling on the subject, that my deepest inspiration resides.

Entitled "Voodoo Child," this painting draws upon the colors and style of the subject's adornments, evoking a nostalgic homage to the style of the 1960s. The name serves as a poignant reminder of the era's fashion and cultural influences. Through this artwork, I celebrate the beauty found in those fleeting, unscripted gestures that often pass us by. Spontaneity and beautiful light, intertwined with the allure of a bygone era are my inspiration.”
